Effective substitution therapy is complex and involves more than just the administration of medication. A crucial part of the process is collaboration with the treatment team and psychological and social counselling. The effectiveness of the treatment is ensured by combining support services that help achieve the desired treatment goals.<\/p>\n<p>Our specialists help to plan the optimal treatment schedule based on the individual needs of each client.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of opioids include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fentanyl<\/li>\n<li>Morphine<\/li>\n<li>Heroin<\/li>\n<li>Opium<\/li>\n<li>Codeine<\/li>\n<li>Isotonitazene<\/li>\n<li>Tramadol<\/li>\n<li>Oxycodone<\/li>\n<li>Meperidine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Substitution therapy is not used for stimulant addiction, but we recommend visiting a nurse.<\/p>\n<p>No prior referral from a family or other doctor is needed to access treatment, and Methadone as a substitution drug is free for all clients, including those without health insurance.<\/p>\n<p>Buprenorphine is also used as a substitution drug.<\/p>\n<p>To start substitution therapy, clients must be sober (at least 24 hours), bring an ID document (ID card, driver&#8217;s license, passport), and allow up to an hour for the initial meeting.
